Normally I begin each year with resolutions that are near and dear to my heart. Things like saving more money, spending quality time with family, or reading 60 books in a year.
This year I decided to dump the resolutions and go with the theme, “What’s Next?”
I chose this theme because it keeps me focused on what is in front of me and distracts me from the things I can’t control.
So, what’s next for me, you ask?
Education. Last week, I began a 6-week online Exercise Physiology class through Stanford Center for Health Education led by Dr. Anne Friedlander, Professor of Human Biology.
The course provides the latest information on exercise and what happens both acutely and chronically to the muscles and various systems of the body because of it.
Never did I imagine it would be possible to keep up my education in a pandemic but choosing a theme has led me down the right path.
Join me. It’s not too late. Select a meaningful theme for your year and act. Because until you do, you will never know “What’s Next?”
